February 28 is World Spay Day. If you’re reading this, it is likely that you are an animal lover who already knows that spay and neuter are part of the solution to end companion animal overpopulation.
This February, show your love for animals by taking action to help a companion animal be spayed and neutered where you live!
- If you have not done so already, schedule an appointment to have your companion animal spayed or neutered.
- Donate to a low-cost spay and neuter program such as Spay Today, which makes spay and neuter, and core vaccines more affordable for companion animals. Click here to learn more and donate online.
- Locate a low-cost spay and neuter clinic in your area, and share it on social media!
- Volunteer with a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program in your area.
- Order NHES’ brochure, “Advantages of Spaying and Neutering” to distribute in your community.
