Six Florida Schools Invite NHES to Teach Kindness to Animals December 12-16, 2016! - National Humane Education Society

Depending on when you were last in school, you may remember the week before Christmas break as the time of year when semester-weary teachers would show movies during class in the days before Christmas break.

This year, six schools in Brevard and Osceola counties in Florida wanted to treat their students to something special before the holiday, while simultaneously leaving them with a meaningful message before the New Year.

As a result, these six schools graciously hosted free NHES Kindness in the Classroom programs for one day before the start of the holiday break. As a result of their initiative, nearly 3,000 elementary students enjoyed group activities and discussions all about animal adoption, spay and neuter, and humane pet care.

Specifically, we would like to thank the staff and students at the following schools participating in our week-long outreach tour!

Partin Settlement Elementary
Sunrise Elementary
Deerwood Elementary
Oak Park Elementary
Pinewood Elementary
Poinciana Academy
