To the Mexican Senate for passing a bill that would ban dog fighting.

The unsavory world of dog fighting leaves behind countless companion animal victims. The horrific scenes that accompany a fight between dogs should horrify anyone, but instead these events are fueled by greed for a profitable bet.  Dog fighting is a felony in the United States, and people convicted of participating in this sordid affair in the U.S. may face lengthy prison sentences.

According to a recent news article, Mexico hopefully will be joining the U.S. in its decision to ban dog fighting. The Mexican Senate has passed the bill, and it is waiting to be reviewed by the Chamber of Deputies.
