Rogersville, TN, May Pass Local Law To Restrict Dog Chaining - National Humane Education Society

To the Hawkins County Humane Society in Tennessee for proposing a law to restrict dog chaining.

 The city of Rogersville, Tennessee, may join cities throughout the United States that have passed local ordinances restricting dog chaining. Dogs who Dogare continuously chained are at a higher risk of developing behavioral problems, including aggression towards humans.

According to a recent news article, the Hawkins County Humane Society based in Rogersville, TN, has proposed a local law that would limit length of time an owner can chain his or her dog outside. The law is awaiting review by the Rogersville Board of Mayor and Aldermen and will be voted on December 13, 2016.

Take Action:  Residents of Rogersville, TN, contact The Rogersville Board of Mayor and Alderman to show your support for a law restricting dog chaining. Residents of other locales, support ordinances in your area that limit or ban continuous dog chaining.
